Cabin Provisions

The following Items are provided with your stay at Bear Haven. The supplies are intended as a starter pack and should last an average group of 8 for 3-4 nights. If you anticipate needing more supplies please bring them with you or you can find items at Safeway, Stater Bros, or the Dollar store in the Interlaken centre in town.

  • A set of towels (wash cloth, hand, body towel) per guest.
  • Sheet set, blankets, pillows. Extra blankets and pillows in bedroom closets. If you need another set of sheets please feel free to wash the existing one. There is a full size laundry area.
  • 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom
  • 1 roll of paper towels
  • Shampoo/Conditioner/Body Wash
  • 4 kitchen trash bags
  • 3 dishwasher pods
  • Small supply of Napkins
  • Coffee/tea bags, and coffee mate and honey packets
  • Liquid soap in kitchen and bathrooms, washing machine detergent
  • Newspaper to help start a fire

Things you should bring:

  • Snow chains in winter (mandatory by law to have in vehicle during winter)
  • Snow play toys
  • Firewood and kindling (see our Vendors page for a list of purveyors we have used)
  • Personal care products
  • While we have some basic play items for a child. If you are in need of a crib, high chair, baby gate, or other items please bring them with you.

What we have in the kitchen:

Bear Haven is our second home, therefore we have many items that make cooking easier, items like: spices and seasonings, sugar, salt and pepper. Condiments like; ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise and other items should be on hand but they can get used up during busy holiday times. Crock pot, toaster, blender, microwave, waffle iron, Keurig, Mr. Coffee maker, french press, hand mixer, knife block, cutting board, limited amounts of foil and plastic wrap (please replenish if you use it up), assorted seasonings, plenty of cooking and baking utensils to make your favorite family meal.

Cookware – all size pots and pans, cookie sheets, cake pans, assorted baking dishes, mixing bowls, wine glasses, BBQ tools, and of course dishes (a few plastic for the kids), glasses, mugs, utensils.

Baby/Child Equipment

While Bear Haven Cabin is ready for children to stay we do not provide safety equipment like baby gates, pack and plays, high chairs. There is a company called Babyquip that will deliver and setup many items traveling parents may need. If you do rent from them please let us know and we will allow them to deliver your items the day of your arrival.
